Synthze is designed to work without a user account, without a backend database, and without sending your musical data to our servers. Your projects, presets, and settings remain on your device unless you choose to move them yourself.
1. Local Data Handling
On-Device Storage
Synthze does not store your personal data, sound presets, settings, or musical projects on our servers. App data is stored locally on your Android device and stays under your control.
Purpose: Core App FunctionalityNo Remote Collection
Synthze does not use a backend database, user accounts, analytics, crash reporting, remote diagnostics, or cloud sync to collect app usage data from your device.
Purpose: No Server-Side Processing2. Permissions & Sensitive Data
If Synthze requests Android permissions, they are used only to enable on-device synthesizer features such as MIDI connectivity, Bluetooth discovery, and local file access.
- Bluetooth & Nearby DevicesUsed exclusively for finding and connecting to external MIDI controllers and synthesizers.
- Location AccessForeground location is required by Android OS for Bluetooth device discovery. We never track, store, or share your physical location.
- Files & Media AccessOnly used when you choose to open, import, export, or manage audio, preset, or MIDI-related files on your device.
3. Data Safety & Retention
Local retention: Because Synthze does not upload your app data to our systems, we do not keep server-side copies of your projects, presets, or settings.
User control: You can remove locally stored app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's cache/data in your Android device settings.
4. Data Sharing
Synthze does not send your app data to our servers, so we do not sell, rent, or share your projects, presets, settings, or personal data with third parties through the app.
5. Your Rights & Data Erasure
You maintain full control over your data on your own device. No deletion request is required because Synthze does not maintain a remote user database for app data.
If you want to erase Synthze data completely, uninstall the app or clear its stored data from your Android settings.
