Terms of Service
These Terms apply to Synthze, the Android synthesizer; Synthze Player, the Android music player; and the Synthze Labs website (together, the Services). By downloading, accessing, or using a Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. Licence and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms, Synthze Labs grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use the Apps for lawful personal or internal business purposes. The Apps must be used in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the store from which you obtained them.
- Do not interfere with, disrupt, bypass, or attempt to compromise the Services or their security features.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or redistribute the Apps except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Do not copy, misuse, or redistribute the Synthze Labs name, logos, interface assets, or other protected material without permission.
2. Your files and content
You are responsible for the music, MIDI files, presets, playlists, artwork, videos, and other content you import, play, or share through the Apps. You must have the rights or permissions needed to use that content. Synthze Player can offer deletion actions for local media; you are responsible for confirming deletion prompts and keeping any backups you need. Synthze Labs is not responsible for lost, deleted, or unsupported local files.
3. Online and third-party services
Synthze Player may help you access third-party radio stations, stream providers, lyrics, artwork, and other online content. These services and their content are provided by their respective owners and may change, become unavailable, or be subject to separate terms. We do not control or guarantee third-party content, availability, accuracy, legality, or licensing. Your use of online features is also subject to the relevant provider's terms and privacy policy.
4. Purchases and refunds
If Synthze offers an in-app purchase, the purchase is processed through Google Play and is subject to Google Play's terms, billing rules, and applicable law. Purchases are linked to the Google Play account used for the transaction and may be restored where Google Play makes restoration available. Synthze Labs does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
For an incomplete purchase, a missing unlock, or a refund question, contact support@synthze.app with the relevant Google Play order information. Refund requests are handled in accordance with our applicable refund obligations and Google Play's processes. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer law.
5. Intellectual property
The Synthze Labs brand, Apps, interface design, software, documentation, and related visual materials belong to Synthze Labs or their respective rights holders unless stated otherwise. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
6. Availability and limitation of liability
The Services are provided on an "as available" basis. We aim to keep them reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, preservation of local data, or the availability of third-party online content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synthze Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services.
7. Changes to the Services and these Terms
We may update the Services or these Terms when needed. The current version and its Last updated date are published on this page. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice where reasonably practicable. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
8. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove the mandatory protections available to you under the law of your country of habitual residence. For disputes that may lawfully be subject to an exclusive jurisdiction clause, the courts of Denmark have exclusive jurisdiction.
